Also at Gannett, Barbara Wall has been named vice president and senior associate counsel; previously, she was vice president and associate general counsel. Wall has been with the company since 1985 and earlier was with the New York City law firm, Satterless & Stephens. ... Publishers: At Mississippi's Laurel Leader-Call, Judith "Skippy" Haik has been named publisher; most recently, Haik was publisher of the state's Hattiesburg American, a job she'd held since 2003. Earlier, Haik had been the American's controller and before that was controller at The News-Star in Monroe, La. (both are Gannett papers). Haik joined the American in 1997 as assistant controller. ... At the Bellevue Reporter and Mercer Island Reporter in Washington State, Janet Taylor has been named publisher; previously, she was publisher at the Montana Standard in Butte, Mont., a job she'd held since 2006. Earlier, Taylor was ad director at The Missoulian in Missoula, Mont., for three years. An 18-year veteran of The Missoulian, Taylor started as a private party classified sales rep and worked her way up the ladder, to classified outside sales, major account sales and was named classified manager in 1990. ...
